La selección de materiales es la primera línea de defensa contra el océano.
- 316L Stainless Steel: The “L” stands for Low Carbon, which improves welding characteristics and resistance to intergranular corrosion. It is the industry standard for general ROV use.
- Titanium: Used for deep-sea (>3,000m) or permanent installations where zero corrosion is required.
- Marine Bronze: Used where biofouling resistance is needed (e.g., shallow water sensors).
- Hard Anodized Aluminum: Used for lightweight, portable, or shallow-water inspection class ROVs to save weight.
