How do I properly mate the connectors? (Push, Don’t Twist)

The “Twist” is the #1 killer of subsea connectors.

• Alignment: Use the visual guide mark or the tactile feel of the guide pin engaging the slot.
• The Push: Push steadily. You may feel resistance as the air trapped inside is compressed.
• Venting (Burping): If the connector feels “bouncy,” wiggle it very slightly (without rotating) to let the trapped air/water escape, then push home until the faces are flush.
