What is the maximum current capacity for High-Power applications?

For heavy-duty power transmission (e.g., ROV hydraulic pumps or thrusters), HYSF offers a High-Current Series. These connectors are rated up to 60A per contact and can handle voltages up to 3000V depending on the configuration.

Powering deep-sea equipment requires robust thermal management.

  • Contacts: We use larger diameter pins (e.g., 3.6mm or 4.8mm) made of high-conductivity Copper Alloy to minimize resistance and heat generation.
  • Shell: The High-Power Series typically uses a larger 1-14 UNS mounting thread to mechanically support the heavier cable gauge (e.g., 6 AWG or 8 AWG).
  • Safety: Always allow for a “De-rating Factor” (typically 20%) when bundling multiple high-current cables in a single harness to prevent overheating.
