This is a critical safety feature for expensive electronics.
- Construction: The metal shell of the bulkhead contains a solid epoxy potting or glass-to-metal seal behind the contact inserts.
- Protection: If an ROV tether is snagged and ripped off, the bulkhead remains watertight, saving the internal cameras and PCBs from flooding.
- Bemærk: While the bulkhead is sealed, the exposed electrical contacts will corrode if left open in seawater. Always use a Dummy-stik to protect the contacts when not in use.
