How tight should I screw the Locking Sleeve?

Do not confuse the locking sleeve with the sealing mechanism.

• Function: The seal is created by the radial compression of the rubber, which happens when you push the connectors together. The sleeve just prevents them from pulling apart.
• Vibration: If the equipment is subject to heavy vibration (e.g., a rock drill), you may tighten the sleeve an additional 1/4 turn with strap pliers, but be extremely careful not to deform it.
