Can HYSF products withstand Desalination Plant environments?

Yes. Desalination plants involve high-pressure brine (concentrated saltwater), which is extremely corrosive. HYSF’s Titanium or Duplex Stainless Steel (custom) connectors are ideal for the sensors monitoring pressure and salinity inside the Reverse Osmosis (RO) manifolds.

Corrosion is faster in brine than in open seawater.

  • Material Choice: While 316L is good, Titanium is the gold standard for hot, concentrated brine. We can machine shells from Titanium upon request.
  • Sealing: Our high-pressure sealing technology (originally designed for 60MPa depth) easily handles the operating pressures of RO pumps (typically 6-8 MPa).
  • Longevity: Designed to be installed and forgotten, reducing plant maintenance shutdowns.
