Can I request specific shell materials like Titanium or Hastelloy?

Standard HYSF connectors use 316L Stainless Steel, but we specialize in exotic materials. We can manufacture shells from Titanium (Gr2/Gr5) for weight reduction, Marine Bronze for biofouling resistance, Aluminum 7075 (Hard Anodized) for shallow portable systems, or Hastelloy for extreme chemical environments.

Material selection dictates the lifespan of the equipment.

  • Titanium: Essential for deep-rated (6,000m+) or long-term deployed scientific instruments to eliminate pitting corrosion.
  • Marine Bronze: Ideal for shallow, warm waters where marine growth (barnacles) is aggressive; bronze naturally inhibits fouling.
  • Plastic: We can also machine shells from PEEK or POM for non-magnetic or electrically isolated applications.
