What is the Operating Temperature Range?

HYSF connectors are designed to operate in extreme thermal environments. The standard operating temperature range is -4°C to +60°C (ambient seawater temperature), but the materials are rated for a wider range of -40°C to +90°C for storage and installation flexibility.

Subsea equipment often faces freezing deep-sea temperatures and scorching hot ship decks.

  • Cold Resistance: Our Neoprene/chloroprene rubber remains flexible and does not crack at sub-zero temperatures, ensuring the O-ring seals function correctly even in Arctic waters.
  • Heat Resistance: The connector materials can withstand temperatures up to 90°C without deforming or losing insulation properties.
  • Vulcanization: The High-Temperature Vulcanization process ensures the chemical bonds are stable across this thermal spectrum, preventing the rubber from peeling off the metal shell (delamination) due to thermal expansion/contraction.
