What is the Shelf Life of the rubber components?

HYSF rubber connectors have a typical shelf life of 5 to 10 years if stored correctly. We recommend storing them in a cool (below 25°C), dark place away from UV light and ozone sources (like electric motors). We can provide the Cure Date (Date of Manufacture) for every batch upon request.

Rubber is an organic material that ages.

  • Aging Signs: Over time, rubber can harden or develop surface cracks.
  • Storage: Keep the connectors in their original sealed UV-proof bags. Avoid storing them near windows or high-voltage equipment that generates ozone.
  • Inspection: If a connector has been on the shelf for >5 years, inspect the O-rings and sealing face for flexibility before deploying.
