HYSF underwater connectors typically have IP68 eller IP69K ratings. IP68 means complete dust protection and continuous water immersion beyond 1 meter. IP69K adds protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. Custom ratings available for specific applications.
Understanding IP Ratings
IP68 Rating
- 6: Complete dust protection (dust-tight)
- 8: Continuous immersion in water under specified pressure
- Test conditions: Typically 1.5x rated depth for 24 hours
IP69K Rating
- 6: Complete dust protection
- 9: Protection against close-range high pressure, high temperature spray downs
- K: German DIN standard for high pressure/temperature washdown
IP Rating vs. Depth Rating
| IP-klassifisering | Water Protection | Depth Equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| IP67 | Temporary immersion (1m, 30 min) | ~10m |
| IP68 | Continuous immersion | Per manufacturer spec |
| IP69K | High pressure jets + immersion | Per manufacturer spec |
