Can you design Hybrid Connectors (Power + Data)?

Yes. To save space on ROV end-caps, we can engineer Hybrid Connectors that combine High-Voltage Power pins and Low-Voltage Signal/Data pins (or even Fiber Optic termini) within a single shell. This reduces the number of penetrations required on your pressure housing.

Optimizing the “SWaP” (Size, Weight, and Power) is critical.

  • The Challenge: Running high power next to sensitive data can cause interference.
  • The Solution: Our engineering team designs optimized pin layouts with internal shielding barriers to isolate the data lines (e.g., Ethernet) from the power noise (e.g., Thruster power).
  • Example: A single connector carrying 3x 20A power lines for a motor and 4x signal lines for the encoder feedback.
