What NOT to Use
- ❌ Petroleum jelly (Vaseline): Degrades rubber
- ❌ WD-40: Not a lubricant, damages seals
- ❌ Motor oil: Incompatible with O-ring materials
- ❌ Grease with additives: May cause swelling
- ❌ Dielectric grease: Can interfere with connections
Application Procedure
- Clean: Wipe O-ring and groove with clean cloth
- Apply: Small amount of grease on fingertip
- Spread: Thin, even coat on entire O-ring
- Install: Place O-ring in groove carefully
- Wipe excess: Remove any grease on mating surfaces
Important Notes
- Never lubricate electrical contacts – causes resistance
- Use sparingly – excess attracts contamination
- Reapply each time – grease washes off
- Store properly – keep grease container sealed
