2-Year Submersion Assessment

After 2 years underwater, here’s what to check:

Visual Inspection:

  • Housing surface condition (corrosion, pitting)
  • O-ring appearance (hardness, cracks)
  • Cable jacket condition (cracking, swelling)
  • Thread condition (corrosion, galling)

Electrical Tests:

  • Continuity (each pin to wire end)
  • Insulation resistance (pin to pin, pin to housing)
  • Contact resistance (should be <50 mΩ)
